My name is James Miller.
This past weekend I picked up a stray pit bull when I nearly hit her with my car. She didn't move out of the road when I honked my horn, so I figured if I didn't hit her, someone else would. She had no identification tags, so I brought her home and put up fliers all over the area on Sunday.
Sunday night I heard from a guy claiming to own the dog. He left a voice mail, which is how I found out her name, and when I tried to call him back, all I got was a busy signal.
I wrote down all his information, and the next morning I took the dog to the Coweta County Animal Control Center. I gave them all of his information, and told them to contact him.
They got in touch with him, and he decided not to reclaim the dog. What this means, though, is that she's basically been handed a death sentence, as they can't adopt her out, and won't release her to anyone who isn't the owner. She has until Monday to be rescued, which I'm unable to do, before they euthanize her.
While I can't adopt the dog myself, I know that she would make a great pet if given a loving family. If you can help in any way, or direct me to someone who could, I would greatly appreciate it.

We have an adult female Golden Retriever that is just Perfect! She is the sweetest thing you will ever meet. She is very well behaved and any family would be lucky to have her.

We also have black and white male Shih Tzu - he is adorable and has lots of energy. He is house trained, but watch him cause if you don't let him out he has no problem going inside.

Both have grown up with children in the home, other dogs, and even a cat. They could go together or to individual homes. I think they might enjoy being the center of attention. They are crate trained, but I don't have any crates to give away.

The golden eats a special diet to avoid food allergies - Wellness dog food - I have been feeding this to the Shih Tzu as well just to keep things simple. Please email me if you might be interested. Benny Parsons Crook, aka Benny: Neutered male Border Terrier/Spitz mix. Benny is 6 years old. We adopted him as a 1 year old from AARF. He is a very good dog, loves children, housebroke and crate trained, loves to ride in the car, and to go for long walks. He is in the 35-40 lb. weight range.

Elvis Presley Crook, aka Elvis: Neutered male Great Pyrenees/Shepard mutt mix. Elvis is 5 years old. I had his mother and actually imprinted him when he was an hour old. He is very personable and loves everyone. He is housebroke and crate trained, loves to go walking and ride in the car. He loves water and needs a small swimming pool year round to cool off in. He will play fetch with you also. He is in the 70-80 lb. weight range.

Both dogs live outside in a fenced yard. I have kept up with their flea treatments and will get their shots up to date for the new owners. They are on Heartworm Prevention, and both dogs are microchiped with Avid.

I don't necessarily want the two to go to the same home, it would be nice but not a requirement.

I just want them to go to forever homes so sorry NO military homes, and No homes of expecting parents either. Best case scenario would be an established family with kids, and a fenced in back yard. NO chains or runners.

There is no adoption fee or anything, I just want good homes for them. If anyone is interested or knows anyone, please let me know.

Here is what i'm looking for:

- She favors large dogs such as Labs, Golden Retrievers & German Shepherds.. I would really love to find her a Golden Retriever.
- Adult age dog.
- Mellow & well mannered.
- MUST get along with cats and children. Our house is the center point of the holidays and family gatherings. We also have 2 sassy cats. Both rescue cats.
- House trained. We have doggie doors that lead to our back yard & have about a 6ft fence.
- Perfered if they are fixed - but not required.
- Does not jump up on people.
- Up to date on all shots. Proof needed.

Also, the dog must be okay with being home during the day with the cats. She is an active RN, and works on the weekends from time to time - aswell as during the week.

If you could help me out with this, I would be so greatful. I know the things i'm looking for are pretty straight forward, especially looking for a free dog. We've taken in many cats and dogs, and spent countless amounts on shots, flea/tick/heart worm meds, aurtherities mes, Vet check-ups, and all that jazz.. But, I don't want her to have to worry about paying to get the dog fixed, or shots..

I should have done this before now, but I had hopes of living on my sister's land and being able to keep them, but that is not happening fast enough. I live with my dad and they can't come here, it just won't work. :(

If anyone can help, I will be greatful.

Tanner Bannaner, aka Tan Man or just Tanner: 5-6 year old grey and white, Netherlands dwarf rabbit. Male, not neutered and does not need to be around other rabbits. (he has not seen another bunny in at least 5 years) He lives outside in a big cage. I'm afraid the cage would fall apart if you try to move it, as it is old, but if your feeling lucky you can have it, bring a trailer because it is 4 ft deep, 8 ft long, and 4 ft high. Oh, and bring strong men too, to move the cage.

Benny Parsons Crook, aka Benny: Neutered male Border Terrier/Spitz mix. Benny is 6 years old. We adopted him as a 1 year old from AARF. He is a very good dog, loves children, housebroke and crate trained, loves to ride in the car, and to go for long walks. He is in the 35-40 lb. weight range.

Elvis Presley Crook, aka Elvis: Neutered male Great Pyrenees/Shepard mutt mix. Elvis is 5 years old. I had his mother and actually imprinted him when he was an hour old. He is very personable and loves everyone. He is housebroke and crate trained, loves to go walking and ride in the car. He loves water and needs a small swimming pool year round to cool off in. He will play fetch with you also. He is in the 70-80 lb. weight range.

Both dogs live outside in a fenced yard. I have kept up with their flea treatments and will get their shots up to date for the new owners. They are on Heartworm Prrevention, and both dogs are microchiped with Avid.

I don't necessarily want the two to go to the same home, it would be nice but not a requirement.
I just want them to go to forever homes so sorry NO military homes, and No homes of expecting parents either. Best case scenario would be an established family with kids, and a fenced in back yard. NO chains or runners.

There is no adoption fee or anything, I just want good homes for them. Our funds are modest, but we have been doing everything possible to accommodate this new family member, including getting him good vet care, food, toys and equipment.

We want him to be an inside dog, but built him a nice pen so he can be outside safely when the weather is good and out from underfoot at times when we do house cleaning etc.

It would be nice for him to have a shelter in this pen when he wants to get under cover.

We would be grateful to have a medium to large dog house or a big wooden crate to convert, or materials to build one.

He is very smart and inquisitive too, so we could also use anything that could be used to assemble a safe obstacle course, i.e. a short, large diameter pipe, large colorful toys etc. There is lots of space here for him to play.
