This is an original Edison Triumph Model F - the largest, most powerful of the Edison cylinder machines - and even in project condition, the motor alone is worth the asking price.
Perfect for collectors, restorers, or anyone looking for a historically significant machine to bring back to life.
🔧 Condition Overview (Honest + Detailed)
✔ Motor was overwound and will probably need a new mainspring.
Although, there is always a good chance with these that they can be repaired.
All the parts are there and are in good condition, from the governor down to all the gearing and brake.
This alone is worth the $100 asking price.
✔ Mandrel is currently frozen
It does not spin at the moment.
✔ Reproducer is missing
Common for project machines.
Reproducers for Triumphs are widely available from parts dealers and restorers.
✔ Case has an older repair
Not perfect cosmetically, but functional and actually better for this machine because it keeps the carriage arm stable during transit.
✔ Bedplate repair near feed‑screw couplings
Repair is visible but does not appear to interfere with operation once the mandrel is freed.
Bedplate still retains most of its original pinstriping, which is rare for a 118‑year‑old machine.
