Charak thrived through the 1920’s and unlike many American furniture manufacturers, survived the Depression of the 1930’s. Introduced in the 1930’s, the Danbury dining (with removable leaves) and Danbury stationary (subject) drop leaf tables became two (2) of Charak’s most en-duringly popular productions.
