Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance and safety of a school campus in Augusta, GA. The ideal candidate will have prior groundskeeping or landscaping experience and take pride in keeping outdoor spaces clean, well-maintained, and presentable for students, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain lawns by mowing, edging, trimming, and watering as needed.
Perform routine landscaping duties including planting, mulching, and pruning shrubs and trees.
Remove trash, debris, and leaves from campus grounds, walkways, and parking areas.
Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers.
Assist with seasonal tasks such as leaf removal and minor snow/ice treatment if necessary.
Ensure sidewalks, entrances, and outdoor common areas are clean and safe.
Report any safety hazards, damage, or maintenance needs to supervisors.
Assist with setting up and breaking down outdoor areas for school events when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance experience preferred.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods of time.
Must be dependable and able to follow instructions.
Basic knowledge of landscaping tools and equipment required.
