Job Overview:
UACL is actively seeking Class A CDL Owner Operators for VAN work! This dynamic role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of freight types, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, and tankers. Responsibilities:
Safely operate tractor-trailers across designated routes with a focus on timely deliveries
Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary
Manage route driving responsibilities while adhering to all safety regulations and traffic laws
Handle various types of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, or tankers depending on assignment
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and vehicle maintenance records
Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered
Experience:
Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record
At least 6 months of DOT-regulated driving experience within the past year
Hands-on experience with manual transmissions preferred but not required
Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or similar equipment is a plus
Proven ability in freight handling including load & unload procedures and route driving
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety protocols for tractor-trailers
Delivery driver experience involving freight movement across various terrains and conditions
